Artist Jackson Hong has created the festive jungle scene with the duo band of badger and baboon which dance all day long to the exciting music full of tropical cheer, along with other big and small animals. The visual motif of the display design is borrowed from several paintings of primitive jungles by Henri Rousseau, adding animation-style exaggeration to Rousseaus and dreamy images. Chik-Chiky-Boom comes from the lyrics of the song titled Cuban Pete which expresses the sound of maracas, an essential instrument in Latin music. When the huge tiger shakes its body joyfully to the maracas with Carnets dquateur necklace on, all the other animals begin to follow the rhythm naturally.

As the initial exhibition in 2016, Atelier Herms exhibits solo show of Saâdane Afif to introduce French contemporary artist to the local art scenes and increase the exchange with young Korean artists.
Since 2004, Saâdane Afif asks artists and songwriters to write songs in relation with each of his exhibited artworks. Something which was meant to remain just an experience turned into something with a greater importance and he has reproduced this gesture many times since then. The texts are not only questioning the notion of interpretation and commentary next to the art piece, they also became a central material of his artistic practice. And then, the question of finding a way to embody them, to give life to this corpus has become obvious. The answer led him naturally to the creation of performances for his exhibitions, that he uses now in many different ways.
For the exhibition in Atelier Herms, new project, Quoi ? LEternit., quoted a verse from Rimbauds poem is to be displayed.
